Christy Van Cleave has been grooming for more than 40 years and is a certified master groomer with the International Professional Groomers Association since 2006. She has taught over 400 groomers in the past 20 years. Christy made the cover of Groomer to Groomer magazine for her creative grooming competition at Groom Expo West. She has worked with the World Pet Association for the past 15 years for their GROOM’D show in Atlanta as well as the SUPERZOO show in Las Vegas. Christy ran a non-profit that taught grooming, boarding, daycare and training to inmates and felons and with her help, the graduates successfully transitioned back into society with jobs using the new skills they learned. She is on the prison schools committee with IPG and on the board of the World Alliance of Groomers Associations (WAGA) that helps grooming associations with legal issues and regulations for their states.
